Tower House

Leander, TX

This project, a wooden tower, is a counterpoint to the 1930’s lakeside stone cabin situated above of Lake Travis.
The Vision

A vertical organization of rooms allows one to inhabit this site among the tree canopy offering dramatic views of the lake and the comfort of prevailing breezes.

Inspiration

Akin to the layers of a cut log, bark on the outside heartwood on the inside.

“... walking up the stairs offers snapshots of the landscape as well as views, in, around, and through the building.”
