Ivan Gonzalez

Ivan's personal and architectural identity is heavily influenced by his recurring visits to Pre-Columbian Mexico growing up. There, Mesoamerican ruins, jungle settlements and hidden villages heightened his interest in materiality and went on to spark his passion in vernacular and regional architecture. Ivan received his Masters of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin, and before joining Andersson/Wise, worked in the design of higher education and residential architecture. Ivan spends his free time composing music on his piano, creating what he considers a score to his lived experiences.
